Soyuz MS-15 begins expedition 61 by carrying NASA astronaut Jessica Meir, Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Skripochka and United Arab Emirates’ Hazzaa Ali Almansoori, a Roscosmos spaceflight participant and first Emirati in space that will spend only 8 days aboard ISS before returning to Earth aboard a Soyuz MS-12.
The Soyuz FG rocket is an expendable launch vehicle most commonly known for carrying humans to the International Space Station today.
Soyuz MS-15 is a Soyuz spacecraft launched in September 2019 with three crew members of the Expedition 61 to the International Space Station. MS-15 was 144th flight of a Soyuz spacecraft and the last flight of Soyuz-FG launcher. It landed back on Earth on April 17, 2020.
